Linc’s first remembered artistic efforts occur as a child in Jamaica drawing palm trees on his slate (yes back in those days he really used a slate).  In his early teens Linc remembers spending summers creating pencil landscapes along the banks of the Bronx River in the New York Botanical Gardens.

A self‑taught artist he has had several successful one-man shows. He has also participated in many shows, made illustrations for newspapers, civic organizations, greeting card companies and private collections.

Linc can most easily be described as a portrait artist. He says, “I find documenting the lives of black people going about their everyday lives most satisfying.”  He employs various mediums: ink in the style/technique of pointillism, watercolor, collages, acrylics and photography.

In his work certain images turn up from time to time.  “I like to explore these familiar characters and subjects using different mediums” he says.  The material for his collages is often drawn from older works combined with the new. Linc’s fabric/acrylic collages are unique. These works demonstrate this artist’s command of from and color.

Linc has always gone on photographic expeditions (from down town New York to Cape Town) in search of material for his other artistic efforts.  He recently began displaying his photographs due to the response he has had from those who were fortunate enough to view them.

Linc spent more than thirty years pursuing a corporate career that was satisfying and rewarding. In 2000 he left corporate. He spent the next three years teaching accounting and finance. Linc says, “I took the extra time teaching afforded me to practice my art. I have now embraced what has become my passion.”

Born in Jamaica West Indies, his family came to The United States in the 1950's settling in the South Bronx.  Using G.I. benefits he attended night school at Hunter College in New York City. Linc graduated with honors going on to Columbia University where he earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration.  Linc is a Certified Public Accountant and a former Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He now lives in the West End of Atlanta GA with his wife Dothlyn where he paints, writes poetry and performs community service.  Linc, previously an avid tennis player, is now learning to play golf.
